First off, I would like to make it very clear that I am in no way encouraging you to become skeletal or undernourished, this is NOT sexy. The goal is not purely to lose weight, it is more about getting healthy as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and I don’t need to tell any of you how valuable a healthy view on life can be. So to be absolutely clear this is not a strict regime on low fat foods or gruelling unnatural sessions in the gym, this is a guide to natural and very fun activities to help you find confidence and an all round healthier and happier life whilst losing excess weight and having LOTS and LOTS of sex. All day no pants party yeah!

So lets get into it, I will start you off on some fun and useful facts about sexuality and its benefits to your life and how they help you burn away fat and tighten up muscles. After that we will look at some sexual positions that compliment all it is we are trying to achieve here. And last but not least we will go on to look at ways to get you and your partner hot and ready for some explicit fun as none of us are robots and the blood does not automatically start pumping. So even if you are generally not a regular fornicator you can make it so 😀

A sexually active lifestyle can help you lose weight and keep it of.

All you need to do is have sex as often as possible. Many studies have shown that the act of having sex is the equivalent of the same time spent in the gym, only you get to be naked and entwined with another body. Much more fun than weight lifting or some annoying personal trainer blasting you with army like conditioning…That, of-course, is not including those personal trainers that are super duper hot and flirty, but that’s just me being naughty again. naughty boy

This sounds like a catch 22, if you are not confident then you can’t find healthy sexual interaction and so your confidence can’t improve and so on and on. Unfortunately for some (or rather from the point of view of some) it does require you to take chances, be bold and to not give in to your fears. This is only unfortunate if you prefer a life without new experiences or excitement. For all you livers of life this can become a wonderful liberating experience.

Forget being prettier or more handsome that the next person, forget perfect witty dialogue or any of the romantic movie crap. Look at yourself and decide to be happy with who you are because you will be perceived as you perceive yourself which attracts like minded people. If you are in fact very overweight then maybe start with approaching someone who is also in the same boat as you, it could become a wonderful bonding experience of self discovery and together you can work very hard on losing weight together with sex, sex and even more sex. You and you alone are accountable for your happiness so start taking responsibility!

Casual sex is mostly the exercise of narcissists so be careful not to get carried away. Too much casual sex can in the long term completely destroy your self confidence as those who are constantly in the practice are often missing out on emotional stability and it will ooze into your life before you know it.

A study showed that a hormone that is released post coitus named “Prolatcin” helps develop new nerve cells in the part of the brain responsible for creating cells in your olfactory bulb. You may ask why one would like a heightened sense of smell. It improves your sense of taste, which means you get to enjoy your food more. The better your sense of smell the more likely you are to realize that foods that are made primarily of processed sugars and preservatives actually smell like crap, because that is what they are.

The human body needs 0% processed or added sugar in the diet. This form of food has become very popular during the last century and anything that is too popular usually has something subversive about it. Added sugar does not serve any physiological purpose. If you want sugar then eat fruits or vegetables that naturally contain sugar along with the fibres and water that help the body process it naturally and use it rather that storing it in the form of fat.

Sex improves the health of your skin

It does this in a few ways. Having sex gets the blood pumping, the more the blood pumps the more oxygen is transported to all your organs and the more toxins are moved to the parts of the body that can deal with them. This also helps balance hormones and in so doing controls acne.

During sex a hormone is secreted by the adrenal gland named dehydroepiandroterone (DHEA) which has anti ageing effect and  helps give your skin a more youthful appearance. High blood pressure can lead to loss or weakening of the human male erection (just in case you thought about the human female erection that is not of which I speak) and this can then lead to more stress and higher blood pressure and so forth. Stress as a rule has the habit of making people look for a way out, some relief. Many turn to food as it is easy to come by and all the sugars and preservatives trick out brains into believing its delicious when actually it tastes of deceit. So having sex wont only help keep you happier, but also stop you from stuffing yourself with unhealthy processed foods.

The results of a study funded by National Institute of Mental Health showed that daily sex leads to an increase of cell growth in the hippocampus. This part of the brain is responsible for the regulation of stress. Having lots of sex also lowers the amount of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the body, so more sex equals less stress. An excess of Cortisol boosts the body’s appetite for high-fat foods and tells the body to store these extra calories around your midriff.

Sex helps you sleep better due to the oxitocin released during the act. This not only makes you feel all warm and cuddly but it also helps you get more sleep and getting enough sleep helps your body shed fat. Remember this fact and pat yourself on the back next time your partner falls asleep after sex, it means you were responsible (partially at least) for your partners oxitocin levels going up.

Another study performed by the University of Chicago shows that sleep deprivation makes you “metabolically groggy”. In as little as 4 days without sufficient sleep your body’s ability to process insulin ( the hormone responsible for converting sugar, starches and other foods into energy ) drops dramatically and starts malfunctioning. Sex in general will help you lose weight. It’s the playfulness and interactivity that springs from the affection between two people. That does not mean we can’t step up the game and make it more interesting. Now you will recognise most of these positions as they are not overly weird or experimental. We just look at how each one works the body. You’re not going to lose weight if you leave all the work to your partner so get involved. Move, thrust and push you and your partner to new and exciting places.

After much research into sex positions for both gay men and lesbian woman I was very disappointed. When it comes to women, most of the information out there focuses more on positions to stand or rest in for maximum usage of hands, the ones that did require some hard work were really just your usual hetero sex positions with the difference that one partner is wearing a strap-on.

As for gay men, once again nothing really out of the ordinary and nothing that will help you lose more weight than those hetero sex positions discussed here. It can be tough one but nothing that is too easily achieved is worth having, right?

The lunge helps a lot for flexibility so if its difficult in the beginning just remember that the more you do it the easier it will become. She can use her legs only with her hands above her head for a real workout but this will tire her out very quickly and although that in itself will help you lose weight it will also shorten the lovemaking. Perhaps do this towards the end of a session to avoid caving in from fatigue. This exercises the womans legs, glutes and core. The man gets a workout similar to the cowgirl position.

According to a study on yoga and sexual performance in woman performed in New-Delhi with 40 females, yoga showed an increase in various sectors of female sexuality. Another study performed by researchers at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre in Seattle claims that yoga can also help you lose weight but not in the traditional way. Yoga itself does not burn calories as such, however the awareness that comes from regular practice helps us realise for instance when we have eaten enough and in that way stops us from picking up unnecessary weight.

There are various positions or “asanas” that also help specifically for men or woman. Those that target the pelvic floor are particularly good for woman because it stimulates blood flow in those areas boosting her libido. Recommended asanas for women include “the kneeling core plank”, “downward dog” and “eagle pose” all of which stimulate the pelvic and kegel muscles.  The blood flow can also help improve your orgasm so all in all yoga is almost a must have in your routine.

For men it is less about what part of the body is stimulated and more about the value it has for all sexes. Helping blood flow better, staying flexible and clearing your energy paths (as the yogis would say) helps in many ways from the obvious physical to the balance of hormones. Asanas that claim to be beneficial for the male libido include “cobra”, “plough” and and the “rocking” pose all of which I practice everyday as part of my daily exercise routine.

Adrenaline fix

You can switch all the lights of before your partner gets in and wait secretly behind the couch where you jump out screaming boo as he/she walks in the room. However, this could lead to either party getting very hurt (due to defensive reactions) or delicate hearts failing. Instead try something that gets your adrenaline cooking and can be planned like sports that require fast reflexes or extreme activities like sky diving or bungee jumping. Not only will you get the get up and go of the adrenaline but if you play a sport with your partner like tennis you get to burn fat with the exercise plus your libido will go up which then allows you to have more sex and lose even more weight. One small change in your life can lead to incredibly positive things happening far greater than the sum of the changes themselves.

Adrenaline boost is really more meant for the boosting of the male libido. Female libido is affected by a variety of hormonal (including testosterone) and external factors. Libido for men is very much focused on testosterone, far more so than for women. Too much adrenaline can unfortunately lead to a decrease in testosterone so don’t overdo it. Everything is better in moderation…except sex, that you should have as much as possible of.

Another visual cue that reportedly influence women in particular include the color red on her man. This is in itself a very subtle influence but it does not hurt to try especially when all you need to do is wear a red shirt or something similar.

We are all slightly different so what is a physical hot spot for one won’t necessarily be the same for the next so use your imagination and knowledge of your partner to guide you.
